There is a pervasive blindness to one fact, or perhaps a fact that's been forgotten and DOES diminish Schulberg's fame, as well that of Elia Kazan's.

Film noir German born director, Robert Siodmak, co-wrote the script of ON THE WATERFRONT....and never got credit!
