My name is Jane Byers and I am the mother of Pte. David Byers. I can not tell you how upset my family was to see the names of David, Glen Arnold, Shane Keating and Keith Morley all mixed up. Yes they worked and died together but your magazine should have caught the mistake before you magazine went to press!! What you have done is a dishonor to their memory and to our families. Did you print this story about this painter just to get readership?? You don't even tell the readers where they can see these portraits!! Most of the families did not even know that this lady had even painted our loved ones!!
A family member who subscribes to your magazine called us and told us about the mix up!! He was not happy and may not renew his subscription!!
I do see that you have corrected the mistake on this web site, but what are you planning on doing about the mistake made in your magazine that is now on the news stands?? I would hope that you are planning to reprint the pictures of our 4 brave sons with the right names on them and an apology to the families for the mistake that you have made!!
I will be waiting for your response.
Yours truly
Jane Byers
